How it works
Individual Sessions
-
Choosing the right practitioner is an important step in your journey.
I offer a complimentary 20 minute virtual chat where we will meet, and get to know one another.
During this pre-consultation session we will discuss ADHD Nurse services and how they may fit your needs. I will answer any session related questions you may have.
It is a big step to invest in yourself and embrace change. The start of any journey is both exciting and nerve wracking!
If you decide to work with ADHD Nurse, I’ll help guide you through the onboarding process including the digital forms (“paperwork”) process —necessary for us to work together.
-
The Initial Assessment
►We identify any challenges you are facing, your concerns, strengths, goals and/or areas you’d like to address. Some assessments are sent to you before and after the initial assessment via the online portal.
An initial assessment is required because it gives us a solid foundation so you can get the most out of our future sessions together.
*Depending on your individual needs these initial sessions vary in what is covered.
-
Everyone’s needs are different.
Commonly clients book either weekly or biweekly sessions or as life and finances permit.
For continuity, no more than 1-2 weeks between sessions is ideal to allow time for implementing strategies, applying new perspectives and ensuring we are able to maintain momentum.
Clients may be seen over 3, 6 and 12 months (and sometimes longer), depending on individual preferences and needs or care/treatment plan recommendations.
Ultimately, frequency and duration are up to you. Keep in mind that change takes time!
If desired, we move to more of a maintenance schedule as needed. This is where I may become part of your tool kit for any new challenges or events that pop up.
Group Sessions
-
A 20 minute virtual chat to answer any questions you may have about our programming. It is not required but always nice to meet group members ahead of time! It is a chance to see if what is offered fits your needs or if 1:1 sessions are more your style.
-
Signing Up
Registration, if open, is through the direct register now button under the desired programming option. Once your spot is confirmed you will be sent an email confirmation and further instructions/information.
If there is a wait list, you may submit your intention and be contacted with updates and more information or contacted if any spots become available.
Group Sizes
Groups typically run with a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 12 individuals depending on the program.
-
Finding your “tribe” or sharing experiences with others who also have ADHD, can be extremely validating as you navigate your ADHD diagnosis. As with any group, confidentiality is important.
All of our programming aims to provide a safe space, free of judgement to share, learn and grow.
The groups are facilitator led. Different programs, workshops/webinars are made available throughout the year.
